the house has been a river of chaos this week. the boys are home on fall break and we decided that this would be the right time to move them into the same room. i may have mentioned that previously. moving them has gotten me in… wait no… moving them set me into cleaning mode. i decided to deep clean every room in the house. starting with what was jonah’s room and is now “their” room. then into nate’s room which is now the playroom. of course then up to the playroom which is now the guest room (otherwise known as wasted space but whatever). today we are in the living room… each room has been completely emptied, vacuumed, baseboards washed (blugck*), and had the carpets cleaned. all walls were wiped down and had paint retouched. closets have been emptied and restocked. and my back hurts.
i don’t want to finish. i want to quit. actually i wanted to quit yesterday so i kinda took half the day off. which leads me to the next bad idea. i took the boys to see toy story 1 and 2 3D double feature yesterday. i really love both of those movies. however, 4 hours is a bit long. and it was freezing in there. worse than normal too. i swear i could feel my hair blowing in the breeze. plus, it hurts my eyes looking through those 3D glasses and well, like i said 4 hours. i must say the boys were excellent. of course, why wouldn’t they be with bellies full of Toot’s and candy and frozen slushy things? but afterward they were so freaking wound up that i thought one or both of them were (thanks e.d.) gonna die. i won’t say how it was gonna go down but i was nearly certain it was gonna happen. bless their little hearts. they were jumping from couch to couch. i’m like “seriously? have i ever in your life allowed you to do that?” what goes through their minds? little monsters.
so okay…. next bad idea. we have a few Titans decorations. like a flag thang and a street sign lookin thang and somethin’ else that i can’t describe. so since nate’s the playroom is blue (jonah”s room is some hideous shade of yellow because we let him pick out ANY color after his room was hit by a car. we really should have re-evaluated that decision. but we thought it would help him want to go back in….. sidetracked yet again, sorry) the playroom is blue so i figured we just do a Titans theme in there (and a couple Transformers wall stickers). i figured i would just paint the symbol emblem thang (what is that called?) on the wall. EASY right?

no, it isn’t easy. it’s a big giant hemorrhoid (pain in the butt). i have almost gotten the whole thing drawn but it’s freakin hard. i decided i should just splurge and buy a FATHEAD. so i stopped drawing and got online….

that isn’t a misprint…. wait…. mistype?… regardless….. $89.00 for a sticker! i am in the wrong business. so yeah, we aren’t gonna get one of those. i’m just gonna get back to the drawing board…. drawing wall. picking up paint this afternoon before soccer practice so maybe i’ll get most of it done tomorrow. i’ll post pics soon!
i should have just left the wall blue and told them to imagine it had something Titans on it. what a dumb idea!
